Few industries are as sexy as the sports industry. In fact, I can think of only one that might rival the sports industry in sex appeal–Entertainment. Of course now they are practically synonymous.
Just like the entertainment industry, breaking into the sports industry is tough to do, especially if you want to be in a key role (coach, sports management, team staff, as opposed to selling food at stadium concession stands).
So, I’ve compiled a few resources to help you on your quest to gain entry into the wonderful world of sports.
If they won’t give it to you, give it away. “It” being your talent and service. Those of us who can work for free (or darn close to it) can jump into a sports internship. Contrary to popular belief, internships are not just for the young or the undergraduates. Though they are just for those willing to work hard for little or no money.
