Job Corps -Free job training program for youth aged 16-25; students may earn a GED or HS Diploma, or learn a trade (masonry, electrical, automotive, computer systems technician, etc.). Students receive a bi-weekly stipend, clothing allowance, may live on campus, receive career placement assistance and subsidized travel to and from home. Some centers offer child care for single parents.
Spring4th.net -Educational & advisory services firm offering college planning and career/technical education to youth ages 12-25. Primarily offered through schools, community centers and community programs, but does offer lots of information resources and individual career and college coaching.
Career and Life Coaching -Star athletes have coaches. Why shouldn’t you? Career and life coaches help you figure out which careers are right for you, and then create and execute a plan to begin your new career.
