Mediabistro offers informative short courses for new grads looking to start a career in the media industry (TV, radio, publishing, web).
Of particular interest to me today is the six-part workshop series titled Get a Post-Diploma Life. “Jump-Start Your Media Career”, the first class in the series, offers “essential tips for recent grads aiming to enter the media industry”.
The other classes cover topics including financial planning, resume writing, interview etiquette, acing the edit test and navigating your first editorial job.
