Ever wanted to break into the music and entertainment industry, but don’t have the singing or acting chops? How about a career behind the scenes? The National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment (NABFEME) is hosting its 2007 International Women’s Leadership Summit in Charlotte, NC on Oct. 3-7, 2007. The event will be held at the Hilton Charlotte Center City Hotel and focusing on diversity in entertainment, the female factor. It’s billed as the “ultimate career advancement event for female executives in the music and entertainment industry”.
The three-day event features seminars and workshops, awards shows and networking events. Seminar and workshop topics include women and entrepreneurship, women in corporate America, wealth-building and mentoring.
Legendary actress and trailblazer, Ruby Dee, and musician Nona Hendryx will be honored at the event, along with former New Orleans mayor, Marc Morial and accountant to the stars, Bert Padell.
