The University of California, Berkeley (UCB) will host its annual Women in Leadership (WIL) Conference on March 1, 2008. The event is organized by the Women in Leadership Group of UCB’s Haas Business School and is intended for current students, alumni and Bay Area business professionals.
According to the conference website, “The 2008 WIL Conference will focus on innovative and effective ways that women can make a mark in all aspects of their lives from the office, to home and their communities. The event promotes the wide variety of career options, professional networks and lifestyle choices available to women today.”
The event will feature keynotes by Laura Alber, President, William-Sonoma Inc., Cammie Dunaway, Exec. VP Sales and Marketing, Nintendo of America, Inc and Alice Waters, chef/Author/Proprietor, Chez Panisse. Also featured will be “Industry Sessions” focusing on industry-specific business challenges and trends, “Professional Development Workshops” designed to inspire and challenge participants, a networking luncheon and a wine reception (see agenda).
