I’m still on my mission to unearth as many job opportunities as I can for my Careersthatdontsuck.com readers and clients. To that end, I’m back with more math we love–adding jobs. If you missed the first round, check it out now.
- Source Bio-Plastics (makers of CD/DVD packaging) in Massena, NY will create 175 new jobs as it converts the factory from traditional plastics to bio-degradable plastics.
- A new subsidiary of shipbuilding giant Edison Chouest Offshore is expected to bring 1,000 jobs to Houma, LA and pump millions into the local economy.
- Receivable Management Services in Pueblo, CO reached an agreement with Pueblo city officials to increase its work force by 250 jobs.
- Albany, NY state officials approve $5.5M to create 1,000 new jobs and retain others.
- Cobalt Group, a Seattle company that provides online marketing services to the automotive industry, is opening an expansion office in Lynnwood, WA, bringing more than 300 jobs.
- Biotechnology firm Genzyme to add 45 jobs in Santa Fe, NM
- The Eau Claire, WI City Council approved job credit loans for Idexx Laboratories, which will bring more than 100 new jobs to the city. New jobs will average around $33,000 a year plus benefits.
- Manhattan Holdings LLC, a wood moldings manufacturer, will open its JW Southwoods factory in Clarendon County, SC. Manhattan will spend $2.5 million and create 65 jobs as it expands.

- JP Morgan Chase cuts 300 jobs
- Regions Financial Corp cuts 1,300 jobs in 16 states
- KIK Custom Products in Cumberland, RI cuts 500 jobs
- CitiMortgage cuts 159 jobs in O’Fallon
- Belden (a copper cable manufacturer in Manchester, CT) cuts 132 jobs
