The Pres has declared this week (April 21-25) National Small Business Week, a week dedicated to recognizing and celebrating small businesses and their contribution to our economy. Several small business owners and plenty of politicos will be out and about in Washington, DC to participate in the week’s events, panels and award ceremonies. The event is being put on by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and sponsored by the likes of Sam’s Club, Administaff, SCORE, Raytheon, Chevron and the Kauffman Foundation.
If you’re not already there, it’s too late to attend the events in person. But fret not, the SBA is providing webcasts of the events (thanks to Cisco).
You’ll also get another bite at the apple when regional SBA offices roll out their own Small Business Week events after the official D.C. event (May-July).
Even if you don’t participate in any of the events, it’s a great opportunity to take a look at the training, funding and other small business resources the SBA offers.
