There hasn’t been much of my favorite math to share of late, but companies are finally back to adding jobs.
COMPANIES ADDING JOBS
- The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation’s Treasury Services group says it expects to add 135 new positions to its operations area in Pittsburgh this year.
- Crate & Barrel will add 220 jobs as it almost triples the size of its Lincoln County distribution center in Charlotte, NC.
- ConAgra Foods will add a new production line and 160 jobs to its plant in Marshall, MO.
- Microsoft plans to add 10 new jobs to its Birmingham, AL operations as it relocates its office to Grandview I.
- Laredo Petroleum Inc., a Tulsa, OK oil and gas company, will add 171 employees over the next several years.
- Tiger Truck Manufacturing, LLC in Poteau, OK will create 380 jobs.
- Parfab Industries Inc. in Inola, OK will add 350 jobs
- Triton Scientific LLC in Moore, OK will add 300 jobs.
- Duncan Aviation in Lincoln, NE will add 100 jobs.
- DCL Medical Laboratories will expand its Indianapolis headquarters and add 125 new jobs.
- International Paper Company will expand its Visalia, CA warehouse and add 145 jobs–120 to their Kelsey Road manufacturing facility and 25 to the warehouse in Visalia’s MidState 99 logistics park.
- W Scottsdale Hotel & Residences will fill 100 positions prior to its August 1 opening. W’s jobs include welcome ambassadors, room stylists, “whatever-whenever runners” (bellhops, maids, room service attendants), restaurant and spa staff.
