It’s back! I’ve found more companies adding jobs. Here’s the latest.
- Atlanta. I know it’s not a company, but the state’s minting jobs, mostly in the hospitality (hotels, leisure, tourism). Jobs in this industry grew nearly 4% and are expected to grow 2.2% next year.
- Vermont-based URMC, a utility-focused risk management services company, is hiring 12 GIS and engineer positions and a “robust” sales force.
- YESAC, a manufacturing logistics provider to Hyundai, is expanding its Tallahassee plant to meet needs of new customer Kia. They’re hiring 15 now, and up to 60 by next year, mostly welders and engineers.
- Washington, D.C. Another state (technically a territory) that is still pumping out jobs. Government (and related) is biggest employer, but where there’s job growth, there’s new construction and other markets that serve the growing needs.
- Whirlpool is adding as many as 500 jobs in its Cleveland, Tennessee manufacturing operation.
