• Congress is back to wasting our money. The Joint Economic Committee’s latest findings: Middle-class producing more, the Rich earning more. #
• What’s shocking is that they needed to convene a hearing to find out these nuggets. #
• More shocking is that their big solution is to give more money to states for “infrastructure projects”. Construction workers saved–check! #
• I get that giving money to individuals won’t work, and that taking from the rich to give to the poor will only make the middle-class poorer. #
• But, surely there are more creative solutions, right? #
• Hailing from the lovely state of LA, I know how disastrous it can be to trust state governments to make the right decisions on their own. #
• I don’t believe in taking away profits from businesses (slippery slope), but we can take away billions in tax credits from big oil. #
• And strip away some of the tax shelters that the middle-class & poor can’t access, & create new band of taxable income for wealthy 1%. #
• OK. Fit over. Fin. #
