It’s that time again. Don’t miss Craigslist’s annual San Francisco Bay Area Nonprofit Boot Camp. The all-day event will be held on October 18th at the San Mateo County Event Center in San Mateo, CA.
I’ve attended two of these events and found them both inspiring and instructive. If you are interesting in starting or growing a nonprofit organization, or in starting a career in this nonprofit or social enterprise arena, this is the event for you.
Last year’s event offered plenty of opportunities to network with successful social entrepreneurs, including the CEO’s and top execs from Better World Books, GOOD Media and Idealist.org. This year’s luminaries include Craigslist founder Craig Newmark, Kiva.org President Premal Shah and experts from Google, Zazzle and United Way.
This year’s workshops focus on Fundraising, Nonprofit Basics, Social Entrepreneurship, Big Ideas, Technology, and Lobbying and Advocacy.
