4,418,000 New Jobs Posted Online!

There were 4,418,000 new jobs posted online in September!  That’s not counting the 4,633,500 posted in August.  These jobs were spread across 1,200 Internet job boards and 60 percent, or 2,650,800 jobs, were high-paying jobs ($50k and up).

There are 9.5 million unemployed people in the U.S.  That means there are enough jobs posted now to get nearly half of them back to work.  In fact, there are, on average, 2 unemployed workers for each posted job.

And, it gets better.

Of the 9.5 million folks who are unemployed, only about 20%, or 1.9 million, are considered qualified for the available high-paying jobs.  So, if you happen to be among the few, the proud, the qualified, you’ve got a great shot at landing a new gig, with 750,800 jobs to spare.
