Unemployment Rates in Your Industry

The national unemployment rate is an eye-popping 7.6%. But, unemployment rates vary by industry, and some industries are doing better than others. My goal here is to make sure that we don’t get swept into the doom and gloom completely. I want to make sure you know that there are still industry sectors where jobs are still available. I started this march with my “3,355,000 Jobs” post. I’m continuing it here.
Industries With the Lowest Unemployment Rates
Government – 3.0%
Education & Health Services – 3.8%
Financial Activities – 6.0% (Look at those stimulus dollars at work)
Self-Employed – 6.5%
Mining – 7.0%
