3 Truths From the Job Hunting Trail

  1. While there are 11.2M unemployed people in the U.S., you need only outmaneuver 3 to land your next job.
  2. Not all things are equal.  The unemployment rate is not the same in every state, or even in every city or county within a given state.  That means greener job-hunting pastures may be just a city or county line away.
  3. It seems cliché, but it’s true.  Everyone at the job fair wants you to do well.  The event organizer, the recruiters, the companies, the guy running the concession stand, even the woman standing next to you with her resume in hand wants you to do well—your success means there’s hope for theirs.
