Unemployment Rate Hits All-Time High

According to the Department of Labor, the number of unemployed people receiving unemployment benefits has bounded to an all-time high of 6.54 million. That includes new claims, continuing claims and extended claims.
Just one year ago there were only 2.77 million people receiving unemployment benefits.
Needless to say, it’s getting more and more difficult to find a job, but hopefully, state governments will plow recently allocated stimulus dollars to create and save jobs–in short order. We’ll cross our fingers…and keep you informed of upcoming job fairs and job opportunities.
