States With the Lowest Unemployment Rates

This month’s Regional & State Employment and Unemployment Summary from the Department of Labor revealed these states are faring relatively well compared to high-unemployment states like Michigan (11.6%), South Carolina (10.4%), Rhode Island (10.3%) and California (10.1%).
States with the Lowest Unemployment Rates
- Wyoming (3.7%)
- North Dakota (4.2%)
- Nebraska (4.3%)
- South Dakota (4.4%)
- Utah (4.6%)
- Iowa (4.8%)
- Oklahoma (5.0%)
- Louisiana, New Hampshire, New Mexico (5.1%)
- West Virginia (5.3%)
