Fed Filling 35,572 Jobs

It should come as no surprise to anyone that the Fed is the biggest fish in the shrinking job pool. Truth is, it’s nearly the only fish. It’s like that big, pretty, cool-looking fish you bought on a whim, then took it home only to find that it devoured nearly all of your other fish. The only thing the Fed fish hasn’t eaten are the eels, the algae-eaters and a few spiny things.
But, I digress.
There is some good news in this post. The good news is that 50 federal agencies are hiring to fill 35,572 jobs! Nearly half of the jobs (17,668) involve working with the Army (as a civilian) or with veterans. The others are with agencies including the National Park Service, the FAA and the Air Force. The ten agencies with the most available openings account for nearly 60% of the available jobs.
