Darden Restaurants, parent company of restaurants including Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze, Longhorn Steakhouse, and the Capital Grille, is hirng and expanding. According to Darden CEO and Chairman Clarence Otis, Darden will open 50-55 locations this year, bringing the total stores to up to 1828. Darden posted a 9% sales increase for the year ending May 31 and added a net of 38 Olive Gardens, 16 LongHorns and 10 Red Lobsters over the past year, along with smaller numbers of its other concepts.
Darden is hiring restaurant managers at $38,000-$50,000/year, and offering a 100% company-paid Retirement Program (fully vested in 5 years), a 401(k) retirement plan with 6% company match, with 25%-120% match in Darden stock, full medical and dental coverage and term life insurance (6X annual salary). Management positions require 2-3 years of casual dining/ full-service restaurant management experience.
Darden is also hiring cooks, dishwashers, hosts/hostesses, servers, executive chefs, and bartenders for its restaurants, as well as department managers and acountants for its corporate operations.
