Jobs That Are Easiest to Land

The jobs listed in this post are “easiest to land” because they are the most plentiful in terms of number of vacancies currently posted online, and because the competition for these jobs is less stiff (i.e. the number of unemployed people per available job in these fields is less than in others).

During the month of July, employers added 11,700 sales jobs and 9,400 management jobs–the largest increases in any field for the month–bringing the total number of available sales and management jobs to 375,600 and 413,000 jobs, respectively.  Sales and management job vacancies have also been trending up for the past three months, so these fields earn spots in our top 5 based on number of vacancies.  But, are they the easiest jobs to land?

No and yes.  No, for sales jobs.  Yes, for management jobs.  There are more than 4 unemployed people for every sales job, but fewer than 2 for every management job.

The list below is in order of competitiveness (the number of unemployed people per available job in the field).  We’ve also included the number of available jobs in each field, just in case you’re not afraid of a little competition.
