Companies Waiting Longer, Paying Less
Posted on | August 14, 2009 | No Comments
A new survey from Dice.com found that nearly 50% of companies are taking longer to fill positions, and 38% of companies are paying slightly or significantly less to new hires than they did last year. Not surprisingly, companies cited economic concerns as the reason for the slowdown and reduced wages.
The survey featured a bit of encouraging news as well: 24% of companies have slightly or substantially shortened their hiring process and 11% of companies are paying more since last year.
