These 5 states are hot spots for job growth.  That’s not to say that the recession is over in these states, but the latest job growth is definitely a bright spot in an otherwise bleak job picture.

States With the Greatest Job Growth (as of July 31, 2009)

  1. New York – 62, 100

  2. Michigan – 38,100

  3. Texas – 37,900

  4. Tennessee – 15,600

  5. D.C. – 13,200
