10 MORE Metros the Recession Nearly Missed

If you didn’t see your city or metro area in yesterday’s list of the Top 10 Best Performing Metros, perhaps it’s in the second tier. While these metros didn’t fare as well as the first 10, they are still among the 20 metro areas that lost very few jobs, experienced relatively low increases in their unemployment rates, and saw their home prices rise during the recession.

The top 20 metros are heavily concentrated in the South and Northeast.
