According to the Conference Board’s latest Help Wanted Index, there are currently 4,150,000 jobs online now. That’s up nearly 20,000 jobs from the prior month. Currently, there is one job posted online for every 4 unemployed people. In June, 6 states led the pack for the number of new jobs posted online during that month.
Biggest Gainers
- Texas (+26%)
- New York (+24%)
- Pennsylvania (+15%)
- North Carolina (+12%)
- New Jersey (+12%)
- Virginia (+10%)
While we at Careersthatdontsuck.com love the good news, you know we’re equally fond of the whole picture. So, in service to that, here are the states that are lost the most jobs last month. There’s even a bit of good news there. Save for California, the decrease in jobs posted was relatively small.
Biggest Losers
Millions of jobs are waiting for you, and you’ve only got to beat out a few competitors in your state of residence to get one (local candidates are the order of the day).
