Over 4,436,000 Jobs Posted Online Now

Over 4,436,000 new jobs were posted online in October, one for every two unemployed people.  That’s an increase of 21,000 over September.  California is the state with the most jobs posted online, but New York City is the city with the most.  Check out the available jobs.

Fast Facts: Massive Number of Mass Layoffs

There were 2,269 mass layoff actions involving 235,681 workers during the month of September.  That’s the highest number since the September 11th attacks.  Year-to-date there have been a total of 14,811 mass layoff actions involving more than 1,510,446 workers.
